I was born and raised in north Pittsburgh, PA. Art
was always a huge influence in my life, and when my grandfather gave me my
first camera (which I still use), my Cannon AE 1, I was hooked on photography
as well. In art, I excelled at drawing and painting. Most of my work came from
the photos I would shoot. I learned black and white photography in high school
and continued with photography in college. I studied many art studios and art
history courses. I worked free-lance for professor Dr. Stuart Chandler, a
religious studies professor who received a grant to study the region of
Pittsburgh and its religions. |
| I also did free-lance work for couples, families,
and weddings. I received my Art Education degree May 2004 and was hired by
Amherst County High school that summer. I’ve taught at Amherst for 2 years and
do free lance photography on the side (mostly weddings now). |
